About Us
Penro Construction Company was incorporated in 1971 by three original partners.  Christiansen Construction Company of Pender, Arlis (Bud) Kinning Jr. of Rosalie, and Cliff Albin of Oakland joined together to form an underground utility construction company.  The three partners combined the names of their home towns to come up with the name PENRO.

Cliff sold his shares to the other two partners in the mid 1970's.  Christiansen's sold all of their shares to Bud in 1986, making him the sole owner.  Bud would remain the sole owner until his son Mark started buying into the comapany in 1997.  Upon Bud's retirement in January of 2000, brothers Mark and Ryan purchased all stocks of Penro from their father and remain equal partners in the business today.

During the first 32 years of business, Penro shared an office with Christiansen Construction in Pender.  The two companies worked closely building the majority of municipal sewer and water treatment facilities in the area.  Penro also worked directily for area municipalities constructing underground utility systems.

In 2003 Penro purchased their current shop/office building at 810 Industrial Road in Pender.  The move made the company independent and allowed for significant growth.

The last decade has seen Penro adapt from being strictly a pipe contractor into a more adaptable company with several specialties.

We have a very good history and are proud of our reputation.  We rely on the ethics instilled by the original owners of Penro and we are confident that we will continue to be a leader in the utility construction industry well into the future.
